Do you know which is your dominant foot for jumping and dropping? If you do not, you should! The Sender Balance Board will help you discover your favoured foot position. But more importantly it will help you BALANCE and IMPROVE your skills when they are reversed! "SWITCH STANCE" as it is known in Snowboarding or Skateboarding is when your less dominant foot is forward. When you begin to train you will notice a significant difference changing foot position and through practice you should be able to feel SOLID / NORMAL / CONFIDENT with either foot forward.

TOP TIP:

After a set of exercises you should try and spend your entire rest period (before the next set) on the board. This can be particularly hard on LEG DAY! Using the board while resting forces you to stay focussed and maintain control when you are already fatigued! Please note this increases the risks of a fall! Similar to riding long descents your fatigued legs can be screaming at you but you must maintain complete control!

The benefits of using balance boards are tried and tested. Red Bull - Kate Courtney, Nino Schurter and other top athletes frequently include this form of training because of it's effectiveness. SENDER always look to improve and innovate new training and coaching equipment to improve its function and the BALANCE BOARD was screaming for an UPGRADE. Our Bike Specific Board has guide rails that allow you to roll left and right - forward and back with safety stops to prevent the roller from shooting away out of control.

Our Board has CNC routered Foot marker positions so you know you are standing at the correct distance apart as you would on you bike. If you want a monster upper body blow out you can complete sets of push ups or plank using the marked hand positions whilst fighting the rollers or ball.

Increase training intensity and challenge by attaching resistance bands and completing creative exercises that offer effective workouts. The board has multiple resistance band attachment points making it ideal for floor workouts with greater safety. Just stand on the board which creating a secure anchor point at floor level without using the ball or rollers. Attach a handlebar and resistance band to the front of the board for a fun, but brutal session!

NOTE:

The wooden roller is manufactured from machined timber. As with all timber they can "shake" and cracks can appear and become visible at the ends of the timber as they dry out "acclimate". This is cosmetic, normal and to be expected. The Roller is wrapped in a hard wearing Rubber Cover.

INTERNATIONAL DESIGN PROTECTION FILED AND IN PROGRESS

We recommend you use the board on a foam mat or on carpet with plenty of clear working space in case you fall or the board travels out of control. Wear protective equipment such as a helmet and gloves as a minimum. Progress is quick, but so is the speed at which you can land up on the floor or worse. Always warm up and increase the difficulty with confidence as skills improve.
