Grip Blocs are absolutely mega for destroying the forearms and building that elusive grip strength. Developed for climbing they are every bit as relevant for training for Mountain Biking. Build your strength through this winter season and the dark months so your arms aren't screaming next season on those big descents.
You get two Grip Blocs. One for each hand. Choose a grip position which increases in 10 mm steps. Simultaneously lift a weight off the floor which is attached to the blocs by the strap provided. Hold the weight off the floor until failure and repeat either the same weight over several repetitions, or increase the weight or change the grip position. It is possible to do front raises, side raises, front holds and the most evil of exercises the wrist rotation.
The heavier you go the more strength you develop. The lighter and longer the more stamina you build. An easy exercise watching your favourite Youtube DH or Enduro films....
You need to buy disk weights in 1 or 0.5 kg increments easy found in most super stored for minimal cost.
